Calypso Sale and Skinny Genes
January 13, 2013 § 4 Comments
It turns out that a person can survive on 1200 calories a day and not feel like they’re starving. Truly a nice surprise after months of self-induced gluttony.
It’s been a busy week over here in our parts, with real “set your alarm clock to get there on time” work, and behind the scenes blog design happening. Eating for pure pleasure has taken a backseat to business and getting it done.
I like it. I like it a lot.
If you are like me, and motivation for slimmer days is aided by closed-eye visualisations of your body in pretty clothes, head on over to the Calypso St. Barth Sample Sale that’s happening right now. I have loved Calypso for years and their pieces make you feel comfortable and casual; dressed without looking like you tried too hard. The prices in the sale are bonkers, so don’t miss out.
Here are some of my favorites. What are yours?
M.

So much better than that big, clunky-sweater-over-leggings look from the early 90s. There are some old photos I’d like to get rid of.
No No! Cherish those photos! So much fashion out there right now is similar to those 80s and 90s styles. I’m a sucker for nostalgia! Even bought some harem pants… much more streamlined than MC Hammer pants, though!
so pretty! now all I need is a place to wear them!

I kept looking at pretty pieces in the sale and thinking.. date night! Looking forward to wearing pretty things (and going on dates) again! Long way off, but still. One foot in front of the other…eye toward the future.
BTW…Was thinking about you during Saturday morning yoga. It was a FIRE practice. Good and sweaty and I felt alive. Not like the last time when a fire practice messed me all up! Interesting how different a practice can be at a different time in your life (a different place in your energy). x
